As the new face of John Deere’s social media, including its brand-new TikTok channel, Rex will shine a spotlight on the hardworking individuals and industries that support our daily lives.
“We were overwhelmed by the number of high-quality submissions for the Chief Tractor Officer position, but Rex’s creativity and authenticity stood out from the beginning,” said Jen Hartmann, Global Director of Strategic Public Relations and Enterprise Social Media. “We’re excited to have Rex on board to produce engaging and relatable content that celebrates our customers and their significant contributions to our lives.”

Rex is already a rising content creator on TikTok, known for his singing, sculpting, and storytelling skills, which he showcased in his music video submission. As a recent Environmental Studies graduate, Rex’s expertise and passion for the industry align perfectly with the Chief Tractor Officer’s mission. Coming from a family of fourth-generation farmers, Rex has also worked closely with local food systems in his community.
The search for the Chief Tractor Officer began in April, with quarterback Brock Purdy helping to recruit hundreds of applicants from 40 states.
